Ok, here goes. A bit late, because my rheumatoid arthritis has been playing up again. Very inconvenient!
So it’s been a bit of a stop/start month. Story of my life. Bit of a problem when all the conventional wisdom states that the key to online success is consistency. Oh well, my way will work too.
Let’s see just how well this month has been working. Yep, its income reporting time.
Blog – Arthritic Chick
I only managed 3 posts this month. I had aimed for 3 posts per week…so there should have been 12. More posts means more traffic..and hopefully more ad clicks. So again, I haven’t worked this blog hard enough. I have at least five posts planned, that I am trying to find the time to post. I will admit though, that having rheumatoid arthritis does not always make this easy. Not an excuse, but a reality that I need to factor in.
Anyway, adsense. Erm, not too bad. $3.66! Better than I expected.
Onwards to infolinks…$0.51. Kinda average.
All together, a total income of $4.17. For the month.

So woohoo! Big gains there. Tiny actual dollar amount…I earned $1.39 per post this month. But let’s focus on the improvement, shall we?
Online store – Pilates DVDs
This is the real performer for the month. 5 sales! What did I do different? Nothing. I’m still in the ‘must spend more time promoting my online store’ mode. I did nothing at all this month, so these sales are truly passive. Granted there is work involved in packing and shipping, but now that the site is established, this is simple stuff. It really is time to expand the product range…the problem with this is it takes money to buy stock. And money is very tight right now. So I’ll just sit tight

Wow – now we’re talking! Happy with this sector for sure. Ofcourse I need to double that and do it daily, rather than monthly…but still, big improvement.
Kindle ebook sales
I have done nothing with my kindle ebook. Put it up on the Amazon store, and ignored it. So (surprisingly enough) no sales this month.

I need to promote my book, and write more. Simply need to put in some effort and see what happens. A task for July.
Logolove - logo design website
I’m just working on SEO and improving the rankings. Traffic is improving, but no income. Not even any enquiries. This will take time to build, as expected.

OK, so June definately gives me hope! A 400% improvement in income is something to get excited about – even if the dollar value is not very large.
What’s not so clear is why June was so much better. In May I did 3 posts on my blog also. I did the same amount of work on the Pilates site. In fact, all up I would have to say that in June I did less, but earned more.
It’s going to be tough to repeat in July. Clearly I need to increase my posting to my blogs, and focus on SEO for the logo design site. Selling DVDs seems to be very much luck of the draw. I think it’s time I spent the time to seek out more suppliers for my Pilates store – perhaps some affiliate products. I have the traffic, if I improve my calls to action, perhaps I can increase sales.
Anyway, being that this report is a week late, I am already behind the eight ball. Time I got to work!
